SPORTS - CRICKET
ORGANISATIONS | To provide a fun, engaging environment for children with special needs. We also provide a safe, controlled environment for parents to interact with other families every saturday. We currently primarily engage children with autism and down syndrome, however, we are looking to expand our base in the near future.
We also endeavour to provide a pathway to elite programs for various areas, including blind cricket, which does not currently cater for under-age participants. |
| The scheme is aimed at developing quality, community based, sporting and recreational opportunities for disabled people throughout Caboolture. The programme is promoted and delivered through Caboolture Disability Indoor Cricket. Disability Indoor Cricket aims to:Increase the number of disabled people who actively participate in sports, groups and sessions; improve the quality of players and volunteers within disability sport; create new opportunities and further develop those existing for disabled people to compete in sport at local, regional and national levels .
|
| The NSW Blind Cricket Association Inc. and the Australian Blind Cricket Council both exist to foster, administer and promote a world-class sport and provide a competitive and recreational activity for persons with a vision impairment at a domestic, national and international level. |
