KELLY BRUSH 2819 views USA
Kelly’s skiing accident happened on February 18, 2006 on the second day of the Williams College Carnival. Starting number 12, Kelly came over a knoll and caught an edge on an icy patch. She fought to stay in the course but her ski edge grabbed and she was catapulted off the trail, striking a lift tower stanchion. She severely damaged her spinal cord injury at the T 7-8 level, fractured 4 ribs, fractured a vertebra in her neck, and a collapsed a lung. Kelly underwent 10 hours of immediate surgery to re-align and stabilize her spine at the Berkshire Medical Center. After her first 2 weeks in the hospital, Kelly was transported to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where she spent the next two and a half months undergoing rigorous rehabilitation for what would become her new life in a wheelchair. She left Craig ready to navigate life’s new challenges with the same tenacious spirit that had been the root of her prior athletic successes. She works as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

MARK BOSANQUET-BRYANT 2053 views UK
This is my personal web site. The reason for it is that on the 10 August 1986 I broke my neck diving into shallow water. Now although paralysed from the neck down with a Spinal Cord Injury C3/4 complete I have managed to get back to a pretty normal and fulfilled life. The following pages contain information about various subjects that others, including physically disabled people may find interesting and perhaps helpful. For example, the computer has been more than just a helpful aid - it has enabled me to stretch my new found abilities.

SPORTS 'N SPOKES MAGAZINE 'Back on track' 2029 views USA
"Although a motorcycle accident briefly sidelined Marcus Culvert, he's made a strong comeback as entrepreneur - with his own clothing line-, a musician and drag racer. Perhaps there is nothing in a healthy person's life that could prepare him or her for an adulthood wracked by intense pain and heart-wrenching disability. Religious faith can help. Loving parents, family, and friends can cushion such a blow. But when all is said and done, a young man who lives hard and fast until he loses the use of his legs is left to figure out how to greet each day and get the most out of it".

JAIMEN HUDSON - 'THE VIEW IS BETTER FROM UP HERE!' website
I have always been passionate about the outdoors, as a youth my days were filled with activities like riding dirt bikes, skateboarding, surfing and scuba diving. Learning to dive at age 10 only added to my love of the ocean. In 2008 I had an accident that left me a quadriplegic and in 2014 I became interested in drone photography and videography, although I wasn't sure I would be able to use the remote controller due to my reduced hand function. Since then though I've been lucky to have my work featured in many prominent media outlets and publications and have also won the Western Australia 'Young Achiever Award' in 2018. I hope you enjoy what you see...!

LONELY PLANET ACCESSIBLE TRAVEL PHRASEBOOK website
All travellers will get more out of their trip by being able to speak a few words of the local language, but for people with a disability it’s often vital to be able to explain your particular needs. Since standard phrasebooks are unlikely to contain the language you need to talk about needs around disability we’ve gathered together some disability-specific words and phrases and translated them into as many different languages as we practically could. Although things are slowly changing for the better, there are still plenty of barriers to travel for people with a disability – language doesn’t have to be yet another.
